After registering a domain, is there any possibility to lose it?

Yes, there are chances that you might lose your registered domain.

This commonly happens when domain owners forget to renew their domain as it will be abolished past the domain registration deadline. We strongly encourage you to renew your domain at least 2 weeks before the expiry date or set an auto-renew option in myZcom.

Based on ICANN, Registry, and Registrar policies, the domain may be abolished in the following cases:

  • When it is determined that there is a violation of the rules or any risk of violating the rules.
  • When any inadequate registration information is recognized.

There is also a possibility that you may lose your domain registration qualification due to a domain dispute and will be transferred to another registrant.

According to ICANN’s policy, usage restrictions may be applied and only domain retention may be permitted, even if the domain is already registered.
