What is a subdomain?

A subdomain is an additional part to your main domain name. It can function as a page within the website, or as a completely separate website depending on your needs.

For example, if domain.com is your domain, then www.domain.com, website.domain.com, addons.domain.com, are all subdomains created from domain.com.
