What is an EPP code/ AuthCode?

An EPP code/AuthCode is a unique code assigned to a gTLD domain, such as .com, to prevent unauthorized domain transfer, which is a password created by the registrar to help identify the domain name holder.

 

The EPP code/AuthCode is a case-sensitive character string that contains 6 to 16 alphanumeric characters.
