What is Whois Information and Z.com Whois Privacy Protection?

According to the ICANN requirement, the Registrant (who owns the domain) must provide and maintain a publicly viewable database that displays the personal contact information when registering a domain, as it helps them to regulate domain registration and ownership.

However, when you purchase a domain with Z.com it comes with a WHOIS Privacy Protection, this service hides your contact information and replaces it with unique anonymous information. This means any personal information you share with Z.com will remain with us.
